Feria International de Tecnologia y Manufactura (FITMA) has recognized the importance of setting a main stage for the global community of technology suppliers to meet with this relatively young but robust market of metalworking manufacturers looking for ways to increase output.

When combining machine tool consumption, Latin America is the fifth largest in the world by volume. Mexico by itself is the eighth largest. This region can no longer be ignored. In fact, OEMs invested $147 billion just in 2018 from Mexico all the way to Argentina.

The effect is trickling from Tier 1 suppliers to job shops looking to find a way to support the demand. Add USMCA (the new NAFTA agreement) and a movement of the supply chain since COVID-19, and you have market on the verge of explosion.

Until now, Mexico, Argentina and Colombia have developed regional event options. Brazil has developed some larger stages but have been unbalanced in recent years. FITMA already has support from many international associations, global technology suppliers, and some of the larger distributors representing key brands.

Being located in Mexico City is key due to its physically central location between North and South America and daily direct flights from within Mexico and major cities around the globe. FITMA’s exhibit location is only 10 miles away from the airport, offering easy access for.

FITMA is 12 months away (June 22-24, 2021) and is co-located with MSC Expo (Manufacturing Supply Chain Expo). This blend of two events of technology suppliers on one side and manufacturing suppliers on the other is the right mix to meet the needs of any exhibitor and attendee!
