AFM Is the Latest Association Among Many to Support FITMA

AFM, the renowned Spanish association organizing the BIEMH (The Spanish Machine Tool Biennial) is the 10th industry association to partner with FITMA as a strategic ally in promoting what will be the most important manufacturing exhibition in Latin America.

Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (AFM) has joined the five Mexican and four international associations that support FITMA in order to make the first edition of this manufacturing and technology show a success. The event will take place from June 22nd to 24th in Mexico City.

AFM, the Spanish association of machine tool, accessories, parts and tool manufacturers, represents 90% of the machine tool and advanced manufacturing technology companies in Spain.

Based in San Sebastian and with an office in China (Tianjin), AFM works to promote internationalization and, through its Foundation for Machine Tool Research (INVEMA) technology unit, the technological innovation of its member companies. AFM is a member of both CECIMO and ECTA, the European associations of machine tool and cutting tool manufacturers.

FITMA is the biennial exhibition of technology and manufacturing in Latin America, where the latest innovations in machine tools, equipment and accessories are presented for all industries in the metalworking arena. FITMA exhibitors are suppliers of metalcutting machine tools, forming and fabricating equipment, cutting tools, workholding systems, machine tool components, additive manufacturing equipment, metrology equipment, CAD/CAM and manufacturing software, finishing equipment, and robots and automation equipment.

FITMA is organized by Gardner Business Media with the support of the National Autoparts Industry of Mexico (INA), the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA), and the Mexican Association of Mold and Die Manufacturing (AMMMT), in addition to the most recognized associations of the machine tool and manufacturing sector in the world, such as AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology, the Korea Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (KOMMA), the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders’ Association (TMBA) and the Japan Machine Tool Builders Association (JMTBA).
